Rick Owens, an American-born, Paris-based designer, launched his eponymous line in Los Angeles in 1994 before moving to Paris in 2003, where his runway collections have been mounted since. 

His gothic aesthetic boasts a fashion-sportswear hybrid with gender neutral design, has earned Rick Owens a cult following. The fashion designer juxtaposes high-quality fabric with an exaggerated, often dark, minimal, and industrial aesthetic —occasionally mixing in various occult motifs.
