Repetto
Founded in 1947 by Rose Repetto, the brand was born from a mother’s desire to support her son, choreographer Roland Petit, by creating ballet shoes that combined comfort and elegance. What began as a small workshop near the Paris Opera soon became a name synonymous with French craftsmanship and grace. Repetto’s iconic ballerina flats gained international fame when Brigitte Bardot wore them in Et Dieu créa la femme in 1956, and the opening of its boutique on Rue de la Paix in 1959 cemented its status among dancers and artists alike. Today, Repetto remains a symbol of timeless elegance and movement, rooted in its ballet heritage and celebrated around the world.
